Scope of Work

Problem Statement
People traveling long distances struggle to find trustworthy places to stop, rest, and stay. Information about accommodation, parking, food, and roadside facilities is fragmented across multiple sources, making it difficult to quickly determine whether a place is safe, reliable, available, and suitable for their specific needs.
This is particularly challenging for truck drivers, whose requirements often include secure truck parking, vehicle-friendly facilities, showers, food, and overnight accommodation.
The result is unnecessary searching, uncertainty, detours, and compromises during an already demanding journey.
Goals & Success Criteria
Simplify booking:
Make it easier and faster for travelers to discover, compare, and book transportation and accommodation that meet their needs.Build trust & safety:
Give users confidence through verified drivers, transparent information, reliable reviews, and secure transactions.Improve value & comfort:
Help users find affordable options without compromising on comfort, convenience, or essential amenities.
Research & Insights
To understand the challenges people experience during long-distance travel, we conducted interviews with two key user groups: travellers and truck drivers. The conversations focused on how they plan journeys, find transportation and accommodation, evaluate options, and make decisions while on the road.
The interviews revealed that participants often had to balance convenience, safety, cost, and comfort when making travel decisions. They also highlighted several gaps in the existing experience.
Key findings
1. Booking should be simple and convenient
Participants wanted a straightforward way to search, compare, and book transportation and accommodation without having to switch between multiple platforms.
They valued:
Simple search and booking processes
Clear availability and pricing
Relevant filters and preferences
Easy access to booking details
Minimal steps to complete a reservation
Insight:
Users want to spend less time managing the logistics of their journey and more time focusing on the journey itself.
2. Safety and reliability influence every decision
Safety emerged as an important consideration, particularly when users were unfamiliar with a driver, vehicle, accommodation, or location.
Participants wanted greater confidence through:
Verified driver profiles
Ratings and reviews
Clear vehicle information
Transparent pricing
Secure payments
Reliable booking information
For truck drivers, safety also extended to their vehicle and belongings, making secure parking and trustworthy roadside facilities particularly important.
Insight:
Users need more than an available option—they need enough trustworthy information to feel confident choosing it.
3. Comfort becomes increasingly important on long journeys
Long-distance travel makes basic comfort and rest facilities significantly more important. Participants wanted accommodation and stopping points that allowed them to rest properly and continue their journey comfortably.
Important considerations included:
Clean and comfortable accommodation
Rest areas
Food and refreshments
Showers and other essential facilities
Convenient locations along the route
Suitable and secure parking for truck drivers
Insight:
For long-distance journeys, accommodation and roadside facilities are not simply conveniences—they directly influence the quality and sustainability of the journey.

Wireframes & Exploration
With the core journey established, I explored different ways of presenting search results, route information, accommodation details, and booking actions.
The goal at this stage was not visual polish, but to determine the most effective structure and information hierarchy.

Final Design
The final experience brings together the research findings, user flows, usability feedback, and visual language from the defined brand guidelines.
